Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman is the Distinguished Professor of Psychology as well as Director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. It is believed that she was the one responsible as the pioneer of modern studies of memory recall by eyewitnesses, and also children's witnesses. Professor Goodman is a prolific writer and has been awarded many grants and has received numerous international and national distinctions. She has consulted with numerous governments and agencies throughout the world regarding policies and studies on children as victims within the legal system. She serves as a consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center - formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center - of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of several professional associations including those of the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for Children and Families policy and practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) Professor Goodman is part of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as a founding member and International Society for the prevention of child abuse and Neglect and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was head of the America Psychological Association's divisions, Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Children and Families policy and practice.
